1. Who we are
Ringazon (ringazon.com) is operated by Hyper Elevating Ltd, trading as Oplaris — registered in England and Wales, company number 15075136, registered office 25 Kingsley Road, Luton, England, LU3 2LS. 2. What we collect
- Account and profile data — name, email, phone number, postcode/city, avatar, and (for professionals) your bio, services, rates and service area.
- Job data — job descriptions, photos you upload, budgets, bids, quotes and completion evidence.
- Messages — conversations between customers and professionals on the platform. Messages are automatically screened for contact-detail sharing before a booking is secured (see our Terms); flagged content may be reviewed.
- Payment data — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive transaction records (amounts, status, references) but never store your full card number.
- Identity verification (professionals) — to keep the marketplace safe, professionals upload identity documents (driving licence or passport) and proof details. These are checked with automated text-extraction assistance and, where needed, reviewed manually by our staff.
- Usage data — device and log information needed to run, secure and improve the service.
3. Why we use it (lawful bases)
- To provide the service (performance of a contract): running your account, matching jobs and bids, processing payments and payouts, messaging, notifications, completion and dispute handling.
- Safety and integrity (legitimate interests and legal obligation): identity verification of professionals, fraud prevention, message screening, enforcing our terms.
- Legal compliance: tax, accounting and anti-fraud record keeping.
- With your consent, where we ask for it — for example optional marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing and professional payout accounts (Stripe also performs its own identity checks for payout accounts under its terms).
- Supabase — our hosting, database, file storage and authentication provider.
- Google — postcode/address lookup when you enter a location.
- Other users — the parts of your profile and jobs that are necessarily visible to the other side of a transaction (e.g. your first name, profile, job details, reviews). Professional profiles are publicly visible.
- Authorities or advisers where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Our infrastructure is hosted in the UK/EEA region where possible. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. Transaction and dispute records are kept for as long as we are legally required to retain them (typically 6 years for financial records). Identity documents are kept only as long as needed for verification and fraud-prevention purposes, then deleted. Cancelled jobs and resolved disputes are retained for record-keeping and safety.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete data (where we have no overriding duty to keep it);
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- port your data to another service;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any right, email support@ringazon.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and keep the platform secure (authentication/session cookies). We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
9. Children
Ringazon is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use the platform, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post updates here and, for material changes, give notice on the platform. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
